PROVIDENCE BOAT SHOW GIVE-A-WAY WINNERS

Boat Give-A-Way Contest

This year, as a feature of the 14th Annual Providence Boat Show and in conjunction with the radio stations of Citadel Broadcasting – WPRO-AM, WPRO-FM, Lite 105 and WSKO 790 The Score – all Show visitors had a chance to win a complete, brand new boating package. Throughout the Show, entrants submitted their names and contact information along with a guess at the number of Goldfish crackers in a fish bowl displayed at the Dunkin’ Dounts Center.
The prize was an 18' Sea Hunt Escape with Yamaha Motor and Karavan Trailer. On Sunday, January 14th at 3 PM, at the booth in the “Dunk”, ten names were selected at random from the thousands that were entered. The names of the following people, with their hometowns and the number each person guessed, were announced to a crowd that had assembled.

Michael Faucher - Sutton, MA 3729
Jack Kozlowski - Johnston, RI 3640
Kenneth Leach - No City Listed 2664
Alex Lynch - Cumberland, RI 3000
Nelson Ferriera - Pawtucket, RI 3210
Johnathan Bordes - Portsmouth, RI 3101
Joseph Crowley - Westerly, RI 3479
Dolly O’Brien - East Boston, MA 3450
Ralph Battista - Cranston, RI 3175
John Griffin - Mansfield, MA 3014

The quantity of Goldfish in the bowl had been counted before the Show and a sealed envelope was opened and displayed. That actual number was 2894! Unfortunately, since no one matched the winning number, the Grand Prize was not awarded but each of the ten finalists received a gift package form the Show and Citadel.

On-The-Water Fishing Trip

Another feature of the 14th Annual Providence Boat Show and in conjunction with On-The-Water Magazine and TV show – visitors had a chance to win a fishing trip with the TV crew of On-The-Water. Entrants submitted their names and contact information at the Magazine’s booth at the Dunkin’ Donut Center. The winner of the fishing trip is:
