Providence Boat Show

What: 16th ANNUAL PROVIDENCE BOAT SHOW

When: Thursday, January 29 Sunday, February 1, 2009

Where: RI CONVENTION CENTER, Downtown Providence, Rhode Island
 
Details: The 16th Annual Providence Boat Show is one of the first of the Winter Boat Shows in New
England featuring boats and equipment. 
Filled powerboats that appeal to the family cruising and fishing audiences as well as small sailing crafts like Lasers and Sunfish.
Add in kayaks and inflatables plus booths filled with equipment, seminars and giveaways and you have the perfect show for boaters.

225 Exhibitors over 300 Boats from 8 to 40
180 booths with Electronics, Engines, Accessories & Services - including Financing, Insurance, Storage, Repair and Maintenance
More than 140,000 sq. ft. of boats and equipment.

Demonstrations, Workshops and Seminars including: Charlie Soares on Live Baits-Trophy Tactics.  Tips, Tricks & Tactics to put a 50 on the end of your line. Captain Bill Brown on Block Island Bass & Big Fish Beyond plus BoatWise Marine Training Schools Ethanols Effect on Marine Motors.  The seminars and workshops run all day all four days.
Childrens Activity Center featuring the CastingKids Program presented by the Rhode Island Bass Federation.  Known throughout the United States, the program is a flip, pitch and cast teaching acitivity for kids from 7 and up.
RI DEM will be onsite to do Boat Registrations and Renewals at Show
RI Marine Trades Association with have a Pavilion showing all the aspects of the RI Marine Industry including demonstrations about practical do-it-yourself topics for boaters.
Boatload of Cash giveaway will offer two people the right to participate in a Super Saturday Football Toss with the chance to win $50,000!  Participants will be randomly selected from advance ticket buyers and show attendees on Thursday and Friday, as well as people who enter by mail.
Military personnel will receive half price tickets with a valid ID all four days of the Show.
On Sunday, partial proceeds from admissions will be donated to the RI Community Food Bank to help all people from throughout the area.

Hours: Thursday and Friday - Noon to 9 PM; Saturday10 AM to 9 PM; Sunday10 AM to 5 PM

Tickets: Adults $10.00 at the door, Children under 12 Free with an adult.  Advance discount tickets are available on-line for only $8.00 so attendees save money as well as time by avoiding ticket lines.
